So I can't prove that this is where I contracted it from but Thursday I did a little 12-minute tanning session at a local tanning salon and by Friday I had a nasty rash covering my entire torso and back. The only area that wasn't affected was the area that was covered up. (thus my assumption that it was from the tanning bed). Today at the gym I noticed the rash spreading to my legs. Luckily Joel can call in prescriptions so I am on something to help the rash go away, but my days at the tanning salon are over. I am moving onto fake-tanning lotions. Any suggestions on which are the best ones?

Being the lilly white girl that I am, I have some experience with tanning lotions as it is the only way I "tan." I like the ones that are gradual, although, they may work best b/c I'm sooo white. For me, it is all about the smell so I get the ones from Bath and Body Works=)
Love bath and body works and I have a coupon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Brooke just come to Mobile and we can go to the beach!! you know it will be hot here until x-mas eve, I have room for you and your family!! it will be nice to see you all!!
Lisanka:)
I like the gradual ones too! Although I try to be careful with anything too "smelly" (even if good) because we have SO MANY sisters in our ward that have allergies. I try to go with something that does not have much of a smell. But MORE than smell, IT HAS TO LOOK NATURAL. I can't stand to see orange tans or those that look pure fake! I have had good luck with the Jergens and there is another, I just can't think of it now that I like even better, but I also LOVED the Banana Boat Gradual Tanning (but they don't make it anymore---at least the kind I like).
I vote for the gradual ones too (I like Jergens). Then again, I'm pretty white naturally, so maybe I just go for those so I don't shock anyone when I waltz into Church one day lookin' like I spent a week at Cancun.
I with Whitney on the Jergen's. They have seemed to work the best for me...but I haven't tried anything from B&B W. Mmmm, who wouldn't love good smelly tanners?! :)
I would have given up on that tanning place after discovering people were having intercourse in the beds. GROSS! Actually, my skin sometimes reacts badly to tanning beds too, so maybe self tanner IS the answer.
L'oreal Sublime Glow Moisturizing Microfine Mist -Medium skin tones...love the stuff for my legs. I usually grab a tan on my face and upper torso in the sun but seeing as how it's fall which leads into winter (bleh), I like the spray.
It shows a picture of legs on the front, but if you read the back...it really is an all over body mist.
You can find it at walgreens for sure. They always seemed to be "out" at walmart...go figure.
Brooke, it's Patrick. Be sure to count your pills when they come.
Hmmmm, wonder what tanning salon it was. I bet I know. And you should probably spread the word that their beds give rashes. Put 'em out of biz! LOL (Just kidding of course. This is my disclaimer that I am kidding just in case something happens and they come after me!)
