Me and my signs....

For about three years now I have been making decorative wooden signs and I love it! I mostly am at work on these signs during the fall months (I do two craft shows in the fall) but do get orders year round. A few years ago I was visiting my family in Idaho/Utah and noticed these signs everywhere! The trend hadn't hit Oklahoma yet, so I found a friend to do the vinyl for me and I do all the wood work and put the finished product together. I love, love making them, but the trend has hit Oklahoma (they are now available everywhere) and a lot of people actually own their own vinyl machines so my competition has increased, but I still have loyal customers who love my signs and I love creating them for them. Anyway, the exciting news is a customer of mine is being featured on the website etsy.com and in her feature she lists some of her favorite products and sellers and I am one of them! So tomorrow all day my sign "Remember who you are and what you stand for" will be featured on etsy. Hopefully I'll get a lot of attention and sell some more signs. I can't complain. Since joining etsy six months ago (etsy is a craft website) I've sold over 20 signs. Signs that would have been sitting in my closet collecting dust. Anyway, check it out -- here's my sign website: (I've attached one of my favorites)...

Congrats Brooke! I guess I behind in the times, I didn't really (and still don't really) know what etsy was or is. Your signs are adorable. I love them, and I love the saying that is going to be featured. I agree, you are very talented. Congrats again and I hope you sell LOTS!

Good luck with the signs, Brooke. They are too cute! The vinyl signs are just now hitting the Gulf Coast (at least I think, I'm usually the last to know these things).

You're so cool. It's a good thing you heard about Etsy. How'd you find out about it anyway? ;) So I went over and looked at the featured person but I don't see you mentioned. Where is it? Did I miss it? I wanna see your name in lights!

You are so famous. Your next project should be making a special sign for Katya's wedding present.

And Margo, I am responsible for introducing Brooke to ETSY. Still waiting for my cut of her profits.

I had no idea you had an etsy website! I love etsy, it's one of my favorite sites to just go and browse on. Next time I have a sign to buy, you'll definitely be my girl!
