Growing up I was never concerned about fashion. I didn't like to shop at all. In fact, my mom would school shop for me and I would pretty much wear whatever she picked out for me. However, when I started having kids I found that shopping gave me time alone and I just enjoyed buying things to make myself feel good. Up until this year I have been able to buy all my kids school clothes and they have been fine with whatever I have picked out. They've always been grateful and happy and I've been the same way because I was able to have alone time (something I cherish) and I was able to make my kids happy (something else I cherish). However, this year they have discovered name brands -- one in particular -- under armour. I must say Jeffrey isn't into it. He still lets me shop for him and he's usually happy with what I get him. But the three younger boys now want to be involved in the shopping (something I don't cherish) and they want under armour (something I definitely don't cherish). I must admit I have some under armour clothing and I love it. But I'm the mom and it's okay. Let me just say -- the shirts average $25 a piece and the shorts are around $20 a pair. When we were in Utah we visited Dick's sporting goods and I told the boys they could pick out one under armour piece of clothing. There are plenty of knock-offs with the same style and material, but they want the real thing. You would have thought I told them they needed to jump off a cliff. It's hard for them to have such a mean mother! After an hour (seriously it took them one hour to pick out ONE piece of under armour) we were able to leave Dick's with spending less than $150. Sounds like a lot but I was pretty proud. Today Zack wanted to buy and under armour backpack. He has a perfectly good backpack that I bought at Ross -- seriously. When did I become such and uncool parent?

Hey Brooke!!! welcome to the club!! with my kids playing soccer they love that brand , I hate to tell you that it will not get any better!!! :)
I love their clothing line is really cool!! but like you said 150 is not bad at all
ps a tip: look for off season clearence they do not get on clearence to often but sometime you can find a few!! and when you do just stock up!!
Lisanka :)
I am not looking forward to any of the name-brand stuff. I have noticed that Cooper will let me know when he thinks something I have picked out for him is sooo uncool. Sigh...I hate it. I tell him, "do I dress in ugly clothes?" he tell me "no", then I say, "then why in the world would I dress you in ugly clothes?!". I an NOT looking forward to more drama...
I'm soo not looking forward to this! That's the one and only reason that I like school uniforms right now! I hate the whole thought of my kids wanting to keep up with the "Jone's" at such a young age. UGHH. I love steph's response. Do I dress ugly? The only problem, I'm sure when my girls start to care about that, they will tell me "yes"! Oh, well.
I'm going to the sidewalk sale to see if they have any underarmor for your boys. CBa
Under amour, huh? Here I thought only girls were brand-obsessed. Boy, was I wrong.
My boys are into the U also. I am ok with it. I rather them want clothing than a video game.
