UGH! We are home....barely....but we are home. When I made my airline reservations a month ago I told my six-year-old nephew Hunter that we had to change planes in Denver. With a sigh he told me "Genius, why are you flying through Denver. There are so many delays there." (He calls me genius for unknown reasons and I'm not planning on insisting he call me Brooke). Well, Hunter was right. Delays. We got to the Denver airport and headed for our connecting flight to see that it was delayed one hour, meaning we would get to Oklahoma City at 1 a.m. then home around 2 a.m. Then our flight wasn't delayed....then the pilots weren't there....then the flight crew wasn't there....finally we made it to Oklahoma City and it was only 12:45 a.m. We got on the bus to take us to our car and I had lost the slip telling us where we parked. After driving through the parking lot for 10 minutes we found the suburban and unloaded our bags, BUT the car wouldn't start. Completely dead. Of course the parking lot bus was gone so there we were -- five of us wondering what to do. We started walking back to the airport and we came across the exit gate with a PERSON inside! Yay! She called someone, we got a jump and arrived home at 3 a.m. Thank goodness I bought a red bull in Salt Lake or I would have been so tired, but I didn't even get tired until my head hit the pillow and I was out! Great to be home. Just wish it wasn't so hard to get here.....

What a nightmare. Sounds like something that would happen to me. Note to self: do not fly through Denver.
How awful! I hate flying for that reason. I can't stand that I am not in control of well...just about anything. I am glad that you all made it back safe and sound.
Okay, your nephew cracks me up with the whole genius and delay thing. That is oh so funny! Sorry for all the trouble, but I'm glad you made it home safely!
